THE RESULTS
Lower costs, improved reliability and better visibility
Nestlé completed the transformation in 2022.
Then began a process of continuing improvement and enhancement of end-to-end transportation operations in collaboration with Transporeon product innovation.
The results were impressive.
The results

Better-informed planning decisions
Meanwhile, Transporeon’s carrier collaboration facility enables Nestlé to make better-informed planning decisions for the benefit of its partners—through Fleet Planner and the Carrier Interface, both of which were launched in 2023.

Digitalisation and simplification
With digitalisation comes simplification. Transportation processes now require fewer manual steps and approvals, with improved, paperless invoicing systems and much easier onboarding and integration of new carriers.

Enhanced service levels for customers and carriers
Service levels have been enhanced for customers and carriers through visibility benefits, including pinpoint-accurate status updates and timely exception management, thanks to the 2019 implementation of Real Time Visibility.

Unified global transportation effort
The important goal of managing processes from a central hub has been achieved. The global transportation effort is now unified, enabling the company to react faster and more effectively when changes might be required, such as vehicle renewals required by revised emissions regulations.

Improved transportation costs and predictability
Nestlé reported a proven record of improved transportation costs and predictability, i.e. through Autonomous Procurement and Market Insights, both having been introduced in 2022.
